Jerry “The Geator With The Heater” Blavat had been playing music “from the heart, not a research chart” for his Philadelphia listeners since 1960. For 62 years you could find Jerry on the radio or at his many personal appearances, surrounded by generations of fans, including the “beyond teenagers” who came to his shows for decades, and still knew all the dances. Jerry died after a brief illness on Jan 20, 2023. Rest in Peace, My Man.
