JED THE FISH

Jed The Fish (born Edwin Fish Gould) is a radio personality best known for his being part of groundbreaking KROQ in Los Angeles. Jed started his radio career at his Arizona High School, where he was a self-confessed triple threat – Student Body President, Drug Dealer and Disc Jockey. He got his first professional gig programming for the “Youth Market” at 16, and began his fascination with alternative radio formats. He joined KROQ in 1978.
Known for his sense of humor and infectious laugh, he also had an ear for new music, and Is credited with introducing groups like Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, The Pretenders and helping KROQ become the leading alternative radio station in the 80’s And 90’s. From 1994 to 2013 Jed also hosted Out Of Order, a countdown of the most popular alternative rock songs in the country, played….that’s right…out of order. In 1997 and 1999 he was voted Billboard’s Modern Rock Personality of the Year. He’s also an accomplished drummer and music producer.
