graham nash

Graham Nash is a singer/songwriter/musician, a dual citizen (British and US) and has even been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, with the Hollies and Crosby, Stills and Nash.
Born in England, he co-founded the Hollies with school friend Alan Clarke. They wrote many of their songs, like Stop Stop Stop with bandmate Tony Hicks, After forming a publishing company, they signed a young musician named Reg Dwight, who played on their ’69 and ’70 songs before going out on his own….as Elton John.
Graham was introduced to David Crosby in 1968 by Cass Elliott, and left the Hollies to form Crosby, Stills and Nash (with Neil Young joining later) His songs for the group included Our House ”(about the house he and Joni Mitchell shared in Laurel Canyon) and Marrakesh Express.
Graham became (and remains) politically active after moving to the US. He wrote “Chicago/We Can Change The World” about the Chicago Eight, songs about other causes he championed. In 1979 he co-founded Musicians United for Safe Energy. He’s also an accomplished photographer and has written a memoir, Wild Tales: A Rock & Roll Life (when did he find time?) and continues to tour.
