From our archives…Carol Miller grew up in the era of the fast-talking personality deejays. It was a boys’ club., and while she loved the music there was no role model she could relate to. All that changed with the advent of progressive FM, and Carol was there, going from college radio to legendary stations, including WMMR, WNEW and WPLJ. Along the way she turned her listeners onto great new music (she introduced Bruce Springsteen to New York audiences), graduated law school and successfully battled cancer. She’s currently on Sirius/XM’s Classic Rewind channel and is featured in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as one of the great deejays of rock ‘n roll. You can learn more about Carol’s adventures in radio in her book, Up All Night: My Life and Times in Rock Radio.
